FlightAware, a website that allows you to track flights in real time, is offering a tool that allows customers who pre-ordered the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to track the flight carrying their iPhone.
FlightAware had offered a similar tool last year as well to track the planes carrying the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus out of China.
Customers only need to head over to FlightAware’s website and then use the UPS tracking number to find the “departure scan” of their iPhone 6s and then match it to one of the departure times listed in the tool. This will allow them to determine the flight in which their iPhone is. FlightAware will continue updating their tool as they get to know more about Apple’s shipping strategy.
Irrespective of when the plane carrying your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus lands in the US or your home country, don’t expect it to show up on your door before September 24. Only some lucky customers will end up receiving their new iPhone on September 24, though UPS will make the bulk of the deliveries on September 25 — the scheduled launch and delivery date for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Earlier today, an AT&T customer received her Rose Gold iPhone 6s and has since then gone ahead and uploaded the benchmark scores and 4K video sample footage from the device.
