Multiplexer: A killer new jailbreak tweak that takes multitasking on the iPhone to a whole new level

Multiplexer
I’ve been waiting for awhile for a tweak to get excited about and I think Multiplexer is one. This is a massive multitasking tweak that allows you to multitask in multiple different ways. Let’s take a look and see what it has to offer.
So there are 6 different core features to Multiplexer. Aura, Empoleon, Mission Control, Quick Access, Reach App, and Swipe over. Let me explain a little bit about what each of these do.

Aura

This is a backgrounding feature. It allows you to se an activator gesture sot hat you can quickly activate whatever type of backgrounding you want for a specific application. So for instance, you can open up YouTube and force it to stay in the foreground, but still close out to the springboard. This would allow you to listen to the audio from YouTube videos while the YouTube app running in the background.

Empoleon

This is very similar to Mirmir, which is another multitasking tweak that puts apps into windows. You can resize them to your liking and rotate them to landscape or portrait. This is a feature for the ultimate multitasker.

Mission Control

This is just what it sounds like. You can create multiple desktops with different app windows from Mission Control. So you can pull apps running from “elsewhere” into the specific desktop that you’d like. It basically allows you to create and manage multiple desktops in case you like to have a few set up for quick access.

Quick Access

This will allow you to add any app that you’d like directly into the Notification Center. There will be a new tab at the top next to Today and Notifications, and when you tap on that you’ll have a fully functional app quickly accessible straight from the Notification Center.

Reach App

This is another tweak that’s basically just been thrown into this massive compilation of tweaks. It’s from the same developers and allows you to use an app in the Reachability space. So you just just double tap on the home button and the previous app you were in pops right up. You can resize the app panes as desired as well.

Swipe Over

This is a pretty cool feature with quite a bit of features as well. Essentially, it allows you to swipe from the right side of your screen to pull up the last opened app. You can shrink the size of the window and detach it into an actual windowed app, if you’d like or you can change the app just by tapping and holding outside the window. I found myself activating on accident every once in awhile, so you may have to get used to using something like this.
